119話：フロレスタンとオイゼビウスによる大ソナタ～ベートーヴェンの記念のための捧げもの [ピアノ]
来月のリサイタル～シューマンのまなざし～で演奏致します作品の中から今日はシューマンの幻想曲をご紹介します。
シューマンの人生において1833年から5年間はこれほど活力に満ち溢れた展開の時期はありません。数々のピアノ曲を作曲、また次なる作品の骨格が生み出されました。
また週1回の刊行「音楽新報」の評論家として多忙な生活を送りました。この活動は規模と内容、編集の姿勢において音楽評論の歴史に残るものとされています。特にシューマンは国外通信員のシステムを充実させ、全世界の音楽情報を掲載する画期的な活動を始めました。

シューマン◇幻想曲作品17 1836～1838(28歳)
シューマンは、 自分自身に2つの異なる キャラクターが存在するとし、一つは内面的で瞑想にふける「オイゼビウス」。もう一つが 活発で英雄的な「フロレスタン」。 シューマンのピアノ曲にはそれらの名前が付けられた作品が多く見られます。
斬新なピアノ曲の一つであるこの幻想曲もそうでした。これはクララへの切迫した思いから作曲書法の進展を促すことになりました。
３つの楽章からなるソナタ風の幻想曲。第1楽章は１８３６年に「廃墟：ピアノのための幻想曲」の名のもとにスケッチされました。そのあとボンで計画された「ベートーヴェン記念碑」寄付金に参加するために二つの楽章を追加して完成させたものです。
当初は「フロレスタンとオイゼビウスによる大ソナタ～ベートーヴェンの記念のための捧げもの」として各楽章に「廃墟・トロフィー・棕櫚（しゅろ）」掲げて仕上げた後に、手直しして「幻想曲」と変更されました。

シューマンの想い～クララへの深い嘆き～を表現しています。
シュレーゲルの詩「夕映え」から～色とりどりの大地の夢のなかで/あらゆる音を貫いて響いてくる/かすかなひとつの音が/ひそやかに耳を傾ける人に～そして最後にはベートーヴェンの「遥かなる恋人に」第６曲冒頭の旋律「受けたまえこの歌を」が引用されています。
◇第２楽章 Horowitz
クララの父との確執によって紆余曲折したクララとの結婚が現実へと近づく勝利を表しています。
中庸なテンポでエネルギッシュに、と記されヴィルトーゾ的な技巧をきかせる華麗なロンド風。
◇第３楽章 Horowitz
穏やかに保って徹底してひそやかにと記され、安堵、静かな勝利をかみしめるような楽章です。
私自身この曲をプログラムでとりあげましたのはこの第１楽章に魅せられたからです。シューマンの新しい手法によるこの楽章、頻繁な転調表現による人生の波乱、苦しみを描いた狂詩曲にさえ聞こえるますがところどころにシューマンの優しさ、暖かさも見られ複雑な内面性を強く感じます。シューマンの言う「幻想の音」が表現できるよう努力していきます。

Chinese class: I took Chinese at school as a freshman. On one particular day, we didn’t have anything to do in class since we had gone through the whole curriculum for the semester.
